Teams in this division play one match per week on Tuesday evenings at 9:00 PM in their conferences local time zone, and compete for free entry into Season 9 and the opportunity to move up to one of our pay-to-play skill divisions. The FREE division will be separated into three regional conferences in North America (East, Central, and West) and one large conference in Europe to help make scheduling matches a breeze, while allowing teams to play the majority of their matches on servers in their preferred location.

1st-3rd - automatic moveup & 5x FREE entry into s10 Intermediate skill division
4th-6th - 1 month FREE CEVO MVP coupon for each player on roster

NOTE: CEVO-FREE is a bring your own server (BYOS) division. Teams will have the ability to reserve a very limited number of game servers in North America, courtesy of GameServers.com, but teams should be prepared to bring their own servers if there aren't any available.

Best-of-one VETO PROCESS
New for Season 9 - each of our premium skill divisions (A, IM, and M) will play all regular season games as a best-of-one (bo1) map series using the current Valve Major map pool of de_dust2, de_inferno, de_train, de_mirage, de_cobblestone, de_cache, and de_overpass.

Maps will be decided inside of the CEVO CS:GO client prior to each match with our map veto system outlined below.

2) Away Team bans one map
3) Home Team bans one map
4) Away Team bans one map
5) Home Team bans one map

If we enter can we reschedule one of our matches per week? One of our players can probably not make matches on sundays. Thanks!

I disagree with the Amateur division having a VETO system; especially for brand new teams looking to get started past CEVO-Free. But on the other hand this is the standard format now so I guess it makes sense?

We set a default time/date for each match to be played, but you're encouraged to use our match communication system to work with your opponent to find a time that works for both teams.

Is the FREE division playoff system from Season 8 gone? The one where all the playoff teams would be automatically promoted to Amateur league? I'm not sure if it was forgotten, or implied, or just taken out of the system. Thank you for the response!

you have to pay even if you win and get invited to a higher skill division unless its specifically stated that your prize involves free entry.

Hello, I joined the free division and was curious on what that upgrade button did and I pressed it. Now I was wondering if it was possible to revert back to the free league.
