If a user legitimately tells you to kick them from the game, you can at your own discretion in an immediate fashion (do not kick them several rounds after they ask). A player is not obligated to have a mic when playing a CEVO PUG. Can I kick a player for being AFK? We have an automated system that will detect if a player is truly AFK and will automatically kick him when the time limit is reached. Also being AFK throughout the entirety of a pistol round (round 1 and round 16) can qualify for an immediate kick. Can I kick a player for not buying me a weapon at the start of the round or taking a dropped weapon of mine? NO! You cannot kick a player because he didn’t drop you a weapon at the start of the round when you did not have any money or if you dropped a gun intended for yourself or another. We encourage teamwork nevertheless so all users should work together to have the best pug experience possible. Can I kick a player because me and him are arguing about something? NO! You cannot use your PUG Moderation powers to kick a user that doesn’t agree with what you are saying. If you and him are arguing, you can .block or .mute or the user. Can I kick the pug moderator on the other team for abuse? NO! We encourage you NOT to continue the actions they may have started by further causing the pug to fall victim of less players or a surrender. Please report these users and those who are kicked should file appropriate kick challenges if the kick was not warranted for immediate staff/pug moderator review. Can I kick a player for not using .surrender or failing to .start a game? NO! All users that play are entitled to play out their games in a 5v5 situation and/or play out their games until a decisive winner/loser is found. If ANY situations occur ingame that are NOT specifically listed in this guide, then no kick should be issued and the users simply reported using the ingame .report method. Consult an admin AFTER the game is finished so it can be reviewed and potentially added here for future games. Any questions or concerns, please feel free to post, we will be using this as a working and developing document until a more formal posting can be made on the site and inside the game with a command as well. CEVO PUG KICK GUIDELINES (updated 5/18/2017)

For all of those wondering, here is an informal but important set of guidelines we will be following in relation to kicking users in pug servers. These guidelines are also standards for our Pug Mod officials to use when reviewing submitted Kick Challenges

OBVIOUS CHEATING:
I must warn you all before ever thinking about kicking a user for the following reason, you are NOT an anticheat expert or admin nor qualify to pass judgement on users you cannot physically watch play in your games.

This kick reason should be used VERY RARELY and only in times of users actually, you guessed it, OBVIOUSLY CHEATING, such as (spinbotting/bunnyhopping down mid with a deagle getting only headshots while looking at the ground) being a good and prime example. All users SUSPECTED of POTENTIALLY CHEATING should be reported ingame (use .report) and for those who seem overly disruptive yet do not qualify as the defined "OBVIOUS CHEATING" please seek our Teamspeak3 services to report the users for a more speedy review. If you submit a ticket about a user, please make sure you link their CEVO profile, we require nothing more than that.

GRIEFING
Many of you kick users for this reason upon having simple and ridiculous arguments, "hackusations" or even when a user does a standard misplay - these do not qualify as reasons for any kick under this or other categories.

Griefing as described and honored by CEVO is currently:
Intentional Teamblocking
Intentional Team Shooting (giving away positioning or aimpunching teammates in midround / forward positions in a map)
Intentional Teamflashing
Throwing the Bomb into Unreachable Places (or attempting to do so)
Suiciding on Purpose
Refusing to buy weapons for themselves for multiple rounds and playing with only starting pistols constantly (only buying tasers can count under this)
Feeding (this would be running out to sites and down mid with your knife/bomb out on purpose)
Intentional refusal to plant/defuse bomb in winnable situations (use better judgement when kicking for this)

Select Others Will Be Added

Again, arguments and name calling are not reasons to kick users for griefing, simply block them in STEAM ingame communications.

GHOSTING
Ghosting (this requires actually typing out alive player locations for opponents) otherwise without direct proof shown ingame this kick should not be used. We also prefer only 1 warning be issued to users who type out a teammates location. THIS does not include typing if your teammate is AFK and is actually AFK in spawn to end the round quicker. We ave caught some users via player streams Ghosting in CEVO pugs. Simply report these users and allow CEVO staff to make official determinations in banning them from our services.

GAME/MAP EXPLOIT
This is a rare occurrence as well as most maps and plugin/game exploits are patched quickly. But time to time, some users fine a way to gain unfair advantages and abuse them in our games.

Some notable reasons would be boosting over/outside maps, reconnecting to the server and purposely joining the winning team to boost stats, reconnecting to the server to get 16k on pistol round (example that has since been patched), etc. We hope again all exploits for maps and our server plugins are reported to us as well as the necessary kicks being placed so we can look to patch these in the immediate future.

UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT
RACISM and/or SEXISM/SEXUAL HARASSMENT. We do not tolerate these at all. Uses of racial terms or terms derived from a racist term, heavily racist jokes or even the use of a username on CEVO with racist intentions are a violation. Sexism is using stereotypes against a gender, primarily focused on our female community based players, to disclose information or intentions of rape, sexual violence or even sexual harassment. Posting pictures, videos or playing sounds/music that identify as any of these things are also kickable if done so inside a CEVO sanctioned server/service. As some people might find you funny, however there is a time and place for your ignorance or jokes which can be considered funny in the presence of certain people, but we unfortunately do not allow these in CEVO where users might be young and impressionable or have had past experiences of bullying or abuse related to these subjects. We are here to grow as a community and keep our toxicity levels as low as possible and welcome users from all backgrounds regardless of race, gender, sexual identity and more a fun and safe haven to play video games.

Another field we do accept kicks for in this category is threats of SWATTING or DOXING (the release of personal information). These are all serious matters and should never be joked about. Additionally, if a user does indeed threaten or continually harasses you DIRECTLY ingame, be sure to report them directly to CEVO support staff afterwards via support ticket, game link included, for immediate review and potential additional punishment being issued to the violating users. You all deserve to play in a fun and safe environment while using our services.

ADVERTISING/POSTING CHEAT WEBSITES OR ACTUAL PORNOGRAPHIC MATERIAL
Plain and simple, if you do it, expect to get kicked, and even an extended LENGTHY ban after the fact.

To clarify some questions:

Can I kick a player that the other team wants me to kick?
When kicking a player, you are 100% responsible for the kick. If you kick a player that the other team is asking you to kick, and that user submits a ticket for invalid kick and it turns out to indeed be invalid; you will be suspended.
We recommend you only kick users for offenses that you saw with your own eyes.

Can I kick a player if they ask me to kick them?
YES! If a user legitimately tells you to kick them from the game, you can at your own discretion in an immediate fashion (do not kick them several rounds after they ask). No user should ever asked to be kicked but if they do it is likely they are being detrimental to the team and such removal is warranted.

Can I kick a player for being bad?
NO ! Skill level is not a reason to kick a player, no matter how bad he is.

Can I kick a player for playing without sound?
NO! A player is not obligated to be playing with sound or be listening to the calls the team is making.

Can I kick a player for not using his mic?
NO! A player is not obligated to have a mic when playing a CEVO PUG.

Can I kick a player for being AFK?
We have an automated system that will detect if a player is truly AFK and will automatically kick him when the time limit is reached. However in SELECT times we will allow kicks for users abusing the plugin or that continually go AFK in which disrupts multiple rounds. Also being AFK throughout the entirety of a pistol round (round 1 and round 16) can qualify for an immediate kick.

Can I kick a player because me and him are arguing about something?
NO! You cannot use your PUG Moderation powers to kick a user that doesn’t agree with what you are saying. If you and him are arguing, you can .block <name> or .mute <name> or the user.

Thank you
