Season 11 CS:GO Playoff Details, s12 Moveups/Movedowns, & Final Roster Lock

Wednesday, January 25th, 2017

The Season 11 Playoffs are right around the corner, so it's time to release the Playoff information that everyone's been asking for. Below are the most important playoff details for players and teams who might be in a position to qualify for the Season 11 post-season:

- All playoff brackets will be released on Friday, December 16th, 2016
- Playoff seeds in the Main, Intermediate, Amateur and FREE divisions will be determined based on the final Season 11 Regular Season standings using our proprietary CPI ranking system
- All unfinished Regular Season & Makeup Matches must be completed by Thursday, December 15th at 11:59 PM ET. Any matches completed after this date will NOT count towards the Season 11 Playoff seeds

Main Division (North America & Europe):
- the top 16 teams from each conference will qualify for the Season 11 Main Division Playoffs
- format: double elimination bracket (bo3 matches w/ map veto)
- movedowns: teams with less than a .500 regular season winning percentage will be moved down to the Season 12 Intermediate Division
Intermediate Division (North America & Europe):
- the top 32 teams from each conference will qualify for the Season 11 Intermediate Division Playoffs
- format: double elimination bracket (bo3 matches w/ map veto)
- moveups: all Season 11 Intermediate Playoff teams will be invited to the Season 12 Main Division
Amateur Division (North America & Europe):
- the top 64 teams in NA East & NA Central/West (32 + 32) and the top 16 teams from Europe will qualify for the Season 11 Amateur Division Playoffs
- format: double elimination bracket (bo3 matches w/ map veto)
- moveups: the top 3 Amateur Playoff teams will be invited to the Season 12 Main Division and all other Amateur Playoff teams will be automatically moved up to the Season 12 Intermediate Division
FREE Division (North America & Europe):
- the top 16 teams in Europe, NA Central & NA East and the top 8 from NA West will qualify for the Season 11 FREE Division Playoffs
- format: 4x double elimination bracket (bo1 matches w/ pre-determined maps)
- all FREE Playoff teams will be automatically moved up to the Season 12 Amateur Division

Best-of-three (bo3) map veto process:
1) Home bans one map
2) Away bans one map
3) Home picks map #1 (side choice to Away)
4) Away picks map #2 (side choice to Home)
5) Map #3 is randomly selected from remaining 3 maps (knife for side choice)

Season 11 Permanent Roster Lock Information
This is a quick reminder that team rosters for all Season 11 will lock permanently on Sunday, December 11th at 11:59 PM ET. After this date, there will be ABSOLUTELY NO roster changes permitted for any team, for any reason, for the remainder of the event.  With that said, we recommend that teams have backup players available and on team rosters in case of any unexpected absences that may arise to prevent unnecessary forfeit losses.

We enforce the permanent roster lock at the end of each season to prevent teams from stacking up on the talent from other teams that will not qualifiy for the playoffs and to encourage teams to remain together for the entire event. Additionally, team captains should take note of CEVO's prize claim policy outlined below and make final roster adjustments accordingly.

Again, team rosters will remain open from now until Sunday, December 11th at 11:59 PM ET.

Prize Claim Instructions
ALL roster members from each winning team must follow the instructions below to be eligible for payment. Players may begin sending in their earnings forms as soon as the final match in their specific event (ie. CS:GO Season 11) has been completed.

Every single player on the roster marked @ready will receive an equal share of the team's prize money, regardless of whether or not they participated in any matches, and only players who have submitted their earnings forms within 30 days of the conclusion of the event will be paid out.

Players who wish to forfeit their share of the money to the rest of their team can do so during the prize claim process. All prize claims will be processed within 30 days. To submit your winnings request or forfeit your prize, please use the following instructions.

How to claim a prize:
1) Sign in to your account on CEVO.com
2) Click on “My Teams” under the Settings dropdown (hover over the settings button at the top right)
3) Fill out the CEVO Prize Claim Form for each prize that you’d like to claim
4) Fill out and upload the applicable tax form (if claiming over $600 in a given year)
5) Click the “Claim Prize” button

How to forfeit a prize:
1) Sign in to your account on CEVO.com
2) Click on “My Teams” under the “MY CEVO” tab
3) Find the prize that you would like to forfeit
4) Use the “Forfeit Prize” dropdown menu to select the user that you would like to send your prize to

NOTE: All prize claim requests will be processed by CEVO staff within 30 days of submission.

If you have any questions about the prize claim process, feel free to contact us at http://cevo.com/support.

Say my team won our next match against Wisefrag or got atleast 13 rounds would we still be good to go for the playoffs referring to the CPI system? We're currently 3-4 and they're 7-0 so would it benefit us?
